He is recognized for his expertise in supply chain education and project management. Stanton is the author of the book Supply Chain Management for Dummies, which simplifies complex concepts related to supply chain and logistics. He frequently speaks about supply chain strategy, project management, risk management, and technology integration.
Stanton has also developed the “DIRECT” project management model, which is widely used in supply chain management contexts. This model outlines six essential responsibilities of a project leader: Define the objective, Investigate options, Resolve on a course of action, Execute the plan, Change systems, and Transition people.
